Ok, my fiance bought me the Wii Wifi USB Connector for Valentine’s so I can play NBA Live online. I installed it onto my Dell PC and everything worked fine, but then I rebooted the computer and the icon that’s in the tasks bar (bottom right) doesn’t show up at startup or when I even run the program, and that icon apparently needs to be there for me to get online on my Wii. The only solution I’ve found so is to uninstall the program and reinstall it, but there’s gotta be a better solution. Please help.

I wish to connect my iPod to my laptop for using things such as the remote feature, but as such can only do that with an internet connection.
I’ve been looking around to find programs such as Connectify and Virtual Router which create a virtual WiFi environment to allow for devices to connect directly with the laptop/computer, but it would seem these only work with Windows 7.
I was wondering if anybody knew of a similar program that would enable this for Vista?
Thanks.
So, I’ve recently found this little PDA or Palm Pilot thing, (Whatever you want to call it) called the Dell Axim X5 in my closet. I turned it on, and it had never been used before. I think that it’s a really cool device, but there are a few flaws. I’d like to be able to browse the Internet without having to actually physically attach the device to my computer, to be able to download and I’d like there to be a screen rotation feature. So, I know that there is a wifi card that you attach to it to get wifi, (Since it doesn’t have it built in) but is there some kind of free Internet software that adds wifi to your device? Second of all, I’d like to know how to download. If I want to put on, say a theme, would I visit the site that has the theme that I want on my computer and download it to my Pocket PC, or would I visit the site straight from my Pocket PC? Could I please have detailed instructions on how to download please? Thanks! And last of all, I’d like to know how to rotate the screen into landscape mode. (My device doesn’t have a built in accelerometer by the way) I’m either running Windows Mobile 2002, or Windows Mobile 2003, but I know that I’m not running Windows Mobile 2003 SE, and 2003 SE was the first to feature screen rotation. So is there any free program online that rotates your screen for you? Thanks in advance!
By the way, here’s my device’s information: Dell Axim X5 running either Windows Mobile 2002 or Windows Mobile 2003.
I have 2 computers, a Linux, and a Microsoft. So here’s my story. My wifi was working fine with my ds, but doesn’t work with my wii. So, I un-installed it, and then downloaded the latest version of the program onto my computer. I clicked setup and all that and then it comes to ‘setting up internet connection sharing’. After a few seconds, a message pops up and says ‘INTERNET CONNECTION SHARING ERROR (6)’!!!!!!!! I have been stuck with no wifi for the last 3 months…and I can’t find any good info when I google it. I need to know how to fix this!!!!
ACTUALLY, I just fixed it! Wow, was I happy! Ok, you don’t have to send any anwsers anymore! All you have to do is disable ‘internet connection sharing’ for all of the…uh…things in that network folder. Aw man, I answered my own question…
I use ares as my default torrent client/downloader cuz it’s just ‘easy’ for me.. i’m not completely computer savy but know enough to get me by.. the dilemma is I’m working off someone elses wifi connection & it’s very weak, only about 5.5mbps.. ares for some reason always is ‘searching’ for users although at times it does show that there are multiple users, however, never connects.. & i mean with SEVERAL torrents! yet it has no problem connecting & downloading it’s ‘own’ ares searches.. i would luv to use a better torrent client, however, since i don’t have a router and am using the internal wireless card, i have no ‘port’ to open on other apps to allow torrents to download.. forgive me if i sound ignorant, as i said, i don’t know too much.. basically, i’m looking for any information on the best program to download torrents without a router working off of someone elses wifi that will give me decent results and any specific settings i might have to tweak within that program to help me attain those results… ur replies would be greatly appreciated.. as i said, i use ares cuz i don’t need to specify a port & it does everything pretty automated.. thnk you, in advance~

I recently came into possession of a WiFi LINK adapter for my computer, which supposedly allows me to connect to the internet via the small device. Well, theres a problem.
Whenever I try to use it, the program, the one that you install with the included CD, does not start. It will flicker momentarily on the task bar, and then disappear, as if it was never there. I’ve tried most everything I can think of, and now I ask you; Do you know of any way to fix this problem? I’ve tried re-installing, restarting, downloading drivers, and several other things, all to no avail. The adapter works fine, it’s the program that malfunctions. Can someone teach me to fix it, or direct me to an alternate source of the program I need?
Thanks for your time!
I have a WPA-Personal encryption wireless network and i lost my password for it that i wrote on a piece of paper. i have a laptop with the wireless password for said network saved onto a Intel PROSet wireless program but i do not know how to retrieve it. i really do not want to reset my router and i know my laptop has the password on it because i am still able to access the internet through said wifi network. is there anu way i can find my password on the laptop and use it for other wifi devices, such as ipod touch.

I really can’t understand what to do and how to do it so i am asking if anyone would actually rewrite this in a way a 13 year old can understand step by step. Here it is.I copied and paste this.
Ok. If you are an owner of a DS and a PSP and you only have a Nintendo Wifi USB Connector to connect to the internet with you can use this tutorial to change your Nintendo Wifi USB Connector in to a SoftAP so you can connect online with any other devices like a PSP.
To do this you need to have this rar file:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=S4VLBP9A
or you can get it from here:
http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/nin_wifi_Fullpack.rar
You can also watch a video of me installing the Nintendo Wifi USB Connector if you dont feel like reading.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=31QXFFP2
Then follow these steps:
1)
If you want to use the official Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector as a standard SoftAP make sure you have removed the Nintendo software and drivers as they will no longer be needed.
2)
Inside the Drivers folder of the RAR file, you will find modified Buffalo drivers. Install these drivers for the USB Connector. Then install the ASUS software (also in RAR file(eng_2371.zip)). When it prompts you to restart, select No. I have found that there is no need to.
3)
Now in the ASUS EXEs folder of the RAR file, extract the six EXE files in the into the ASUS folder (C:\Program Files\ASUS\WLAN Card Utilities). Make sure you overwrite the existing files.
4)Then click Start -> All Programs -> ASUS Utility -> WLAN Card -> ASUS WLAN Control Center. You will get a dialog asking if you want to use the Windows configuration utility or the ASUS one, select the option that uses ASUS one and disables the Windows one. Then there will be a wizard. Click Cancel to close the wizard.
5)
Now copy the file (C:\Program Files\ASUS\WLAN Card Utilities\Driver\WinXP\AP\rt2500usb.sys) to (C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers). Make sure you overwrite the existing file.
6)
Right-click on the ASUS software icon in the System Tray (bottom-right corner of screen) and select Wireless Settings. When the settings dialog opens, on the left select Config, then go to the SoftAP tab, and select Soft AP Mode. Then un-tick the Enable ICS checkbox. Then on the left click Apply. You will get a message box asking if you really want to change to SoftAP mode, click Yes. A message will come up saying something like “add the adapter to the network bridge”, just ignore it and click OK. If all has gone well, there will be no error messages. Now close the ASUS Wireless Config utility or it will start conflicting when we manually set ICS.
7)
Now go to Control Panel -> Network Connections (this may have opened automatically opened up when you Applied the SoftAP settings). Right-click on the Network Adapter you are currently accessing your Internet through (or your internet connection icon) and open the properties for that connection. Go to the Advanced tab, and click “Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection”. Then click OK. If you get an error message saying the IP address is already in use, disable the Network adapter you are trying to share then try again – be sure to enable it again afterwards. It can take a long time for ICS to be enabled so wait patiently.
8)
Now right-click on the Wireless Network Connection and click Properties. In the middle of the dialog there will be some protocols, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and then open the properties for that. Windows would have assigned a static IP address if ICS was successfully enabled, check to make sure this IP address does not conflict with other IP addresses on your network. Also, it should be on a different subnet to the Local Area Connection (for example, my computer’s IP address is 192.168.0.2, I assigned the wireless network connection the IP address of 192.168.1.1 – which is on a different subnet). If it is on the same subnet, ICS will not work correctly.
***9)***
With that done, open the ASUS Wireless Config utility again. On the left select Config, in the Basic tab set a SSID. In the encryption tab, select Shared for Network Authentication and WEP for Data Encryption – I have found that this works with the DS. Now enter a WEP key. Go back to the Basic tab, and at the bottom click on Advanced, change the 54g Mode setting to 802.11b only. Click Apply on the left to save the settings.
10)
Now turn on your DS, play a Wi-Fi Connection game, go to the Nintendo WFC Settings, and select Manual Setup. Enter the SSID and WEP Key (both of these are case-sensitive) you entered to the ASUS Config utility before. Select No to Auto-obtain IP Address (you must do this because the Nintendo DS doesn’t seem to DHCP correctly with ICS for some reason). Now give your DS an IP Address (this must be on the same subnet as the USB connector, I gave my DS the IP address: 192.168.1.2). For subnet mask enter 255.255.255.0. For gateway and primary DNS, enter the IP address of the USB connector. Now try and test connection, and if all has gone well the connection should be successful!
11)
Now with the ASUS Wireless Config utility, hide your SSID, and use MAC Address filtering to improve the security of your wireless access point.
12)
You now have an Official Nintendo Wifi USB Connector that can connect online with any other devices. :D

I cannot seem to make the Okiwi web browser to work. When I load the program, only the swirling animation in the center of the screen is displayed.
Do I need to change something in my Nintendo DS WiFi settings? If so, can you tell me what do I need to change?
Thank you very much. :)
Ok, iam ahving problems with my connection my dad keeps downlaoding programs and movies on his computer and when ever the program is downloading stuff I lag very bad when i play online games i lag very bad even though i ahve very good connection but whne its not downlaoding an dia hve very good connection I dont lag. And he uses is a old modem that has a wirless antena connected to it so i can get internet but i want to know how to get good connection when his program is downloading? Plz help MY laptop is a toshiba satellite A105-S4342 and is certefied of wifi.
I have a palm pre and I really enjoy using it. Only problem is I notice, and have read, that using aim on it drains the battery. I need to be able to use aim when I’m at work though as aim mobile, as far as I know, relies on the cell phone signal and I can’t get a good signal here at work, but I can tap into the wifi wonderfuly. I sleep during the day and work at night so I use aim as a way of talking to my girlfriend during my night shift till she goes to bed. Anyone know of a way to make it so that aim doesn’t absorb the battery so quickly or a way to use some sort of aim program on the palm pre?
The other part of my question is for the wifi. I work at a bed and breakfast and we have free wifi for the guests…only thing is you have to go through a log in page in order for your device to actually connect. That’s no big deal for me to do….the problem occurs when the phone goes into standby mode…..it seems that most of the time when it goes into standby mode it disconnects me from the wifi. When I come back from standby mode it searches for a connection again and I have to log in yet again. If I’m talking to someone via aim this can be troublesome. Any way for me to remain connected even when it’s in standby? I would appreciate any tips.
Hey I bought a WiFi USB Adaptor or connector, whatever one it is, and the installation disk was just plain dumb. It didn’t install the program for me and I had to go through the whole disk, installing the ‘setup.exe’ stuff. and some of the programs couldn’t even get onto my computer, Windows Vista 32-bit. I tried out the program, and after a few minutes, I could connect to my Nintendo DS. I got error 52101 though, which is that I got into the access point but I couldn’t connect into the server.
So, I checked my station that gives me the Link Quality, Signal strength and Noise strength. My link quality is 80-95% usually, my signal strength is always around -65 dBm, BUT my noise strength seems like the lowest, -107 dBm, which is 0%. Is it supposed to be like that? And how can i raise it higher?
I have no router, I DON’T want one, I DON’T wanna buy another adapter, and I need answers. Help! Thanks. Ask questions if you need to.
Oh. My bad. I just wanted to get online so i could play online via wifi.
hey i have a 1st gen ipod touch. I download full games for free, using a program in cydia, but i was wodnering, does it make the wifi slow if you keep downloading from it? or adding cost etc.
