Go to Start >Run. Type in cmd and press enter
In the dos window that comes up type "ipconfig /all" without the quotes
One of the things outputted will be your Default Gateway. That ip address is the address of your router. "IP address" in the output of the ipconfig command is your computer's ip address.

I had the same trouble.

This is a foolproof way:

First go on Start> Run> Type "cmd"

Type ipconfig

Under the Default Gateway, copy it and type it into your Web Address bar.

So you should have like http://192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1

Now you should have like a login thing.

Usually the username is admin and password is password

Now the rest is up to you. You should be able to find a security setting up thing. And set up WPA-PSK it works the best. So you can choose a password and everytime you log in you would enter the password. (Although you can make it remember the password.)

If your router came with a CD just follow it.

Hold down the Windows key and R at the same time, and type "cmd" (no quotes) into the box and hit enter. Then type "ipconfig" (again, no quotes) into the black box and hit enter again. One of the values (in the form of 192.168.x.x) will be your IP address.
