I recently bought a small wireless camera and receiver but the receiver was damaged, I was thinking that since my laptop has WiFi that perhaps it might be able to work on the 2.4GHz band and work like a receiver. I guess that would require a program to display the signal data, much like a tv emulator. Has anyone seen a program that might enable this? I’ve had a look around but I can’t seem to find much at all! :) Thanks in advance!
P.S. If 2.4GHz isn’t possible, out of curiosity, does anyone know if any other camera frequencies might be possible?
Yes it is. But the best thing to do it to put the camera next to the WiFi on yoru laptop, then you will get a pop-up on your laptop saying this camera is trying to connect, and it will ask you to connect or not.
Bascially the video for the camera is modulated differently than from wireless Ethernet, cordless phones, and cellular phones. You need another video system that is using the same modulation pattern.
