Google is going to participage.
I want to know, what kind of wireless network can be built on this band. Carrier can’t use the band to build WiMax, right?
I hope Google will build a fast wireless network, and I want to use Android phone in their network.
thanx!

Yes they can use it for WiMax. That is one of he reasons Sprint is entered into the bidding. The nice part about that frequency is it will go through just about anything as an obstacle. Todays standard TV signal is a good example. Channels in the 60′s range are in the 700M area. Although they are the UHF range, they are better than 2.4G for penetration of obstacles. If old enough you might remember the 900M Cordless phone that had a lot better range than the 2.4 or 5.8G.
