How do I use my CLEAR WiMax Modem on my home network?

I recently got CLEAR internet in Portland, OR. I opted for the “Mobile” option, so I got a USB modem to just plug into my laptop (MacBook Pro)
so that I could ideally connect anywhere. But the problem I’m having is when I am at home I have several other products that I want to connect to the internet-

Apple Time Capsule
Apple TV
Nintendo Wii

The Time Capsule also acts as a router and I have a wireless home network that runs off it. But when I join my home wireless network, I can’t connect to the internet, even with the modem plugged in. I have to have my AirPort turned off.

Any mac pros out there or CLEAR pros? I want to use my internet all over my home network. thanks.

You won’t be able to use the Clear “mobile” USB modem with your Apple Time Capsule. The only router that the USB modem works with is Clear’s wireless router, called the Clear Spot. It is a little spendy at $139, but it is pretty cool in that it has a battery pack and can be used as a completely mobile router allowing you to bring a portable wifi hotspot with you wherever you go.

If you would like to use the router you already have, you will need to exchange your “mobile” USB modem for the home modem that Clear has. That modem will plug into your Apple Time Capsule to power your home network. Clear should be able to switch your modem for you as long as it is in the first month of service. Hope that helps!
