This a question for pepole, in Telecom, in awimax system is it sufficent to deploy MIMO A + BF insted of MIMO?

We r to deploy wimax and its more expensive to use BS with beamforming, so i wana know form a practical perspective, if it efficent to use BF with MIMO insted of MIMO A alone. And as i have been told sprint didnt choose BF even in dense urban areas like Chicago D.T. !
