I have a wireless linksys network and have been using it just fine with my windows vista laptop untill a few days ago where i got the “windows cannot connect to [network]” error. when i click diagnose, it says that the wireless network security key is not correct, and asks me if i want to view the settings for the network.
i’ve checked all of the settings with an identical computer also on my network, and everything is correct, including the security key.
does anyone know how to solve this? all users on the computer can’t connect, and i have tried reinstalling network related drivers.

The only things I can suggest are:
1. Re-type the security key in your laptop to make sure it is really correct.
2. Verify that your laptop is using the correct wireless security protocol (WEP, WPA, WPA2)?
3. Try deleting the network profile on the laptop and re-creating it.
4. If none of that works, reset your router and then configure the security settings, then set up the profiles on your computers.
First thing make sure the authentication you are using on your router is what your computer is using to connect to it. For example if your router is using WEP with a password of doggie12 then your computer needs to be set to WEP and the password as doggie12. Make sure someone didn’t go in and change the password on your router too that could be the issue. Get into your router configuration and make sure everythings good.
