Physical ethernet connection is always faster, more secure and much more reliable than that of wi-fi connection. The reason is because the wi-fi signal is being brodcasted through the air using radio wave, so it poses problems with interference, attenuation, crackable, etc.
Of course Ethernet connection is faster but it posses a problem that the cable must not be above 100m length. For eliminating this problem , wireless connections are used. But WiFi are more vulnerable to hacking since it is easy to hack these within 10-15 minutes, even WPA2-TKIP encryption.
Ethernet cable is more secure and reliable and is never prone to interferences as Wifi have with wireless phones and microwaves.
But new types of wireless networks like 802.11n are a lot more faster and is faster than any internet connection available to common man.(except optic fiber connections)….
