How do I find out how many people are connected to my wireless router?

I’ve been expieriencing a high latency for my dsl connection. I am paying for 3MB/s download and its usually very fast. But recently I’ve been lagging. I am not sure which computer is using up the bandwidth, but I have 4 actual computers connect via ethernet cable and 1 wireless that I know about. I am worried my wireless connection is being intercepted by a outside party but I am not sure.
I’m using the wireless linksys router. I believe the model number was WRT54G. Does anyone know where I can find that option in this setup/configuration?

The browser-based configurator for your router likely has a section that tells you which machine are connected.

log on to your router setup page.. its usually 192.168.0.1 and check it out over there.!

Go to the router’s web page (where you did the setup) – usually http://192.168.0.1 and go to the wireless status screen

Make sure all the computers are off line and then watch your modem lites. If they flash or flicker, you know someone is accessing your wireless. If they stay on steady, you are ok.

You might want to password protected encrypted connection, either WEP or WPA.

I use a LinkSys wireless G router with Easy Secure.
