Wireless card, Sprint $80.00 per month, unlimited access. The card runs at a slower speed than Cable, but faster than dialup. Great to have if you, travel, or if you need to be connected always. Could be great, with skype, phone.
To make sure we are talking apples and apples here. There are two kinds of wireless cards out there. There wireless cards for your local area network and there are wireless cards (like Sprint, Verizon, Cingular) which are cellular based cards.
The cellular based wireless cards run about $65 a month and you have internet access wherever your cell phone has reception. I say that because they both use the same signal. They are not as fast or as reliable as a hard wired DSL or Broadband line.
If you are talking about a local area network, well those use DSL or a Broadband internet connection in or around your home. There is no additional fees. Just network security risks if you don’t set it up correctly.
