I have a belkin wireless g router that used to be really fast, but got slower with time. I’ve had it for about 4 years and i’ve had the same ISP since i got the router and still have the same ISP. Why did the router get slower and what can i do to improve the connectivity of my current router?

Wear and tear, heat, dust, etc, all affect small electronic appliances over time. 4 years is a good age so a replacement is now due to get your old speed back.

The best thing to do is just buy a new router, routers seem to get good speed for about 2 years and then it’s time to move on. Try getting a wireless N router this time, a lot better range and they’re faster. I’ve found that this site usually has some really good deals on routers:
