Does downloading ipod touch apps use wifi cost ?

hey i have a 1st gen ipod touch. I download full games for free, using a program in cydia, but i was wodnering, does it make the wifi slow if you keep downloading from it? or adding cost etc.

yes im using Installous, so my dads wifi wont go slow if i keep downloading games for my ipod, from my ipod? cuz i dont want him to get mad at me if his bill gets too high :\

    well im guessing its jailbroken if your using cydia and it doenst cost anything at all if your using installous and it shouldnt make your wifi connection slow/ bad etc.

    If you’re using wifi in your own house then yes. You’re using your internet just like if you were on the computer. Every thing you download is the same as if you were downloading it on the computer. Your using your internet downloads that you pay for every month or whatever. It won’t make wifi slow unless your internet goes slow if you download too much, yano?

    It completly depends if your dads Internet connection is unlimited. If it is unlimited then you need not worry about an excessive bill. If your father is using the wifi at the same time as you are then u will notice a slight slow down.
