With 4 people sharing the cable internet it sometimes slows down. Would it speed us up if we went wireless?

Which would be faster for online gaming with my Xbox 360, having a cable connection or wireless one?I currently have a wireless connection with my Xbox 360. If I switch to having a wired connection with Cat6 cable, will my connection be faster or the same? The reason I would like to know is that I have a laptop, desktop computer and XBOX 360.
