I use wired internet because it’s faster than wireless. I bought the HP Photosmart C4580 and it’s wireless. Can I use it without buying a wireless chipset? The IT guy at my dorm said that all the routers on my floor were wireless A. I had never heard of anything except b,g, and n. I went to bestbuy and they had no idea what I was talking about but there is a such thing because I just saw it on wikipedia and [...] so if i buy a wireless NIC with 802.11b/g will i able to make a wireless network? i don’t have any knowledge in wireless networking. so how can i make a hotspot?. and what sort of a range i can cover ?. is a wireless NIC for pci slot expensive?… I have the Nintendo DS and a Wireless Router.(Netgear) When I try to connect it says that my wireless security setting is not supported. What should I do?
