Thing is i could hear sound, so i done the usual press the obvious buttons, Ctrl+alt+del, space, escape, enter, L. Click. nothing!
I tried turning the laptop off and on again, It quite happily turned off, the problem then lied with turning it back on, it wont. The only thing that the laptop is doing is the light in the middle on the front is flashing orange. the light corresponds to a battery with a + and a – either end with a bolt of lightning down the middle.

I dont know what model the laptop is but its black, has 3 usb ports, 2 on the left and one on the back. the socket for the charger is on the back-right. It has a number pad on the keyboard like on a normal keyboard the power button is above the keyboard on the top left, next to the power button says wifi. I think all the lights are orange. It has a webcame and a mic, it came with Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, nero 8 essentials & Windows vista basic
please help me fix it, i dont wanna break the news to my dad that i broke his laptop coz he always thinks i break all the expensive gadgets in the house, i dont! they break themselves when i happen to be there through no fault of my own and my dad is never there when they break thus blaming it on me
I’ve fixed it!
turns out its just run out of power! i unplugged the charger and plugged in the desk lamp last night instead. never mind
