I want to use my lapton in my office, and i want to connect the network by wifi, but in my office the is a locked wifi connection, is there any software that can open the locked wifi connection ?

Is there a way to lock my Vista laptop without going to login screen? I’m basically asking for a program that will lock the computer, but still keep the wifi connections connected. (assuming the signal stays strong, that is.. just that the program won’t interfere with programs i have connected to the internet). I got a new laptop-Dell Inspiron. And my parents sometimes use it for remote desktop. And in order to work the program you have to press F7, but on my laptop it just mutes the volume. When press F1 the help bar menu doesn’t even show up. The keys seem to only do basic functions [...] ok i have a linksys WRT54G wireless router and i wont to change the factory pass and i wont to put a lock on it that you need that pass to get on to it. i need the steps in step by step, no fancy words, basic step by step words ok? I know how to the long way, menu-settings & tools-phone settings-security-####-phone lock/lock phone now, is there a shorter way?
