 The 802.11b slows the internet down greatly, but a guy at Circuit City told us that the 11 Mbps of 802.11b was the fastest you could get as far as internet was concerned, and that if I wanted the full potential of my 100 mbps, I would have to hard wire it. what do [...] I’m not sure if this is a fast speed or not, it seems like it should be, but more often that not my internet acts slugish and seems to be running extremely slow. I have a Dell Inspiron 5150 laptop with a Dell Wireless WLAN 1350 WLAN Mini-PCI Card. I just set up 108 MBPS wireless router but am still only able to connect at 54 MBPS speed.
