I have a Nokia n95. I’d like to be able to use it to make calls on my Yahoo Voice account. Will mobile messenger, (or another program), allow me to do this? Am I forced to go to Skype?

Looking to buy a laptop and would like to get the ‘right’ service since they require a 2 year contract. Current cell phone contract expires in Jan, so I will be free to change companies if need be.
I’m looking to buy a (relatively) cheap device that allows me to use WiFi, as well as download applications/programs (similar to the iPhone) from my computer. I do not need a phone service, just a mobile device. The capability to use PowerPoint would also be a plus.

Which type of technology does mobile uses. Does it come under wimax category or not. can we say our mobile device as a wimax device or not?
I know about joiku but thats only for Nokia and some samsung phones.
