Help with a Linksys Wireless-G router please?

I have been very pleased with my Linksys Wireless WRT54G router for 2 years, using my first laptop with Windows XP and a single-core processor & 512 Mb DDR RAM.
There was never a problem.

That laptop died and I now have a new one with a much faster dual-core processor, over 2 Gb DDR RAM [...]

How can i find out if the wireless card in my laptop is wireless-n or wireless-g?

Because i just got a wireless-n+ router and if my laptop is wireless-g then i am going to buy a wireless-n card for my laptop so i can get faster speeds. My max is 52.0Mbps.
