my laptop has always been hooked up using an ethernet jack on a pcm whatever card..if i put a usb wifi antenna on it and install the software will it work on win98? or do they only work on xp computers?

Hi there, I plugged in the blue internet cord to my computer and the router, the inter cord the the modem and the router, and all the other cords are plugged in.
